ARCADIS chooses MapTalk: a strong foundation for effective citizen participation

ARCADIS & Haarlemmermeer use MapTalk for cycling route

ARCADIS and the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer have selected MapTalk as the participation platform for the alternatives study of the Lincolnpark bike route. With MapTalk, the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer can promote user-friendly participation, ensuring stakeholders are actively involved in the design process.

Through MapTalk, stakeholders will soon be able to express their preferences for the various route alternatives via an interactive online map application. They can also highlight which aspects they consider important in the design. Additionally, the platform offers the ability to complete an online survey and mark any problem areas on the map.

For ARCADIS's Sustainable Mobility department, this is the second project utilizing MapTalk. It was recently used successfully as a participation tool during the development of a new Mobility Plan for Assendelft.

ARCADIS: Leader in engineering and development

Why MapTalk?

By using MapTalk as an accessible online citizen participation tool, ARCADIS gains easy and in-depth insights into the opinions and needs of the community. Increasingly, a hybrid approach is chosen, combining traditional information evenings with MapTalk. This online tool offers additional insights by allowing stakeholders to provide feedback from home.

This comprehensive participation enables ARCADIS's sustainable mobility specialists to offer more precise and well-founded advice, resulting in more effective and sustainable solutions for their clients.
