Praatmee.nl is the innovative participation platform of MapGear B.V. – developed in Deventer by Geo-ICT experts. We specialise in GIS participation, interactive maps and map-based citizen participation for spatial planning and environmental regulations.

MapGear B.V. is the parent company behind Praatmee.nl. MapGear is a growth company in map applications and geodata, based in Deventer. Our software is used increasingly – from SMEs to municipalities and national governments. Our strength is listening well: we respond to your needs with innovative solutions and translate complex GIS data into accessible maps and dashboards – low-threshold and usable for everyone.
Praatmee.nl is MapGear's specific brand for map-based citizen participation – the solution for spatial planning, environmental regulations and GIS participation. Where general participation tools are broad (text, surveys), Praatmee.nl focuses on the physical environment: interactive maps, geo-information and visual decision-making. You can turn to us for the online participation tool, the MapTalk table, and for GIS and Geo-ICT questions.

MapGear at a glance
MapGear was founded in Deventer with the vision to make GIS technology accessible. The first product, Zonnekaart, let citizens check their roof potential for solar energy.
Launch of PraatMee – the participation platform with which municipalities collect public input via interactive maps. PraatMee grows into MapGear's participation approach.
MapGear offers five product lines: GeoApps, PraatMee, MapServices, TouchTable and Duurzaamheidskaart. Over 500 organisations rely on our map applications and geodata solutions, mainly in the Benelux and Europe.
